CCMA Songwriters’ Unplugged presented by Rogers: Session 1

It’s impossible to ignore what some consider to be the greatest aspect of country music and what makes it resonant as a genre – the songwriting. The CCMA Songwriters Unplugged Series celebrates the crafting of original songs and the stories behind the words, introducing listeners to the written works of new and familiar faces in country music. This three-day, acoustic performance series is sure to inspire and evoke strong emotions in all who attend. More information on performers and scheduling coming soon.

Kick-off Country Music Week, leading up to Canada’s biggest night in country music with the CCMA Industry Opening Reception. This opening evening sets the pace for the events to come, as long-time and newly proclaimed country music enthusiasts and professionals reunite and connect over an evening of networking, drinks, snacks, laughs and of course, country music!

CCMA Legends Show presented by Pure Country

A highlight of Country Music Week is the CCMA Legends Show. This event pays tribute to Canadian hits of the past by pairing some of Canada’s most legendary country artists with rising and current stars of the industry for performances that bring together the best of the past and present. You can be sure to enjoy a night of glitz and glamour, with this formal sit-down dinner and awards reception. From agents to artists, a wide array of the country music industry will be honoured and celebrated. CCMA Awards of Achievement and the year’s Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame inductees will be presented this evening. Host and performers to be announced in the coming weeks.

Artist Mentorship

Newly offered this year with a focus on emerging and independent artists is the Artist Development & Mentorship Event. Up-and-coming artists will have the opportunity to meet and network with Radio Programmers, DSP Editors and PR Specialists to discuss their music and aspirations for their career, in addition to building relationships with key partners within the industry. Industry Networking Roundtables

The CCMA Industry Networking Event offers newcomers a chance to sit down with trade experts and discuss topics of expertise that have led them to success in their field. From honing your craft, to gaining and keeping an audience, and having longevity in the industry, this session is tailor-made for those starting out in the music industry and will cover specific topics that participants want addressed. This is a must-hit session for those looking for advice, ideas, mentorship, and direction on next-steps in their careers.

2023 CCMA Awards presented by TD

Every year, Canadian country music fans, artists and industry alike look forward to Canada’s biggest night in country music, the CCMA Awards Show. As a salute to the exceptional talent and hard work from the year, this two-hour celebration features performances and appearances from some of Canada’s brightest country stars and announces winners in eight award categories, broadcast live from FirstOntario Centre in downtown Hamilton, Ontario.

Wrapping up the Country Music Week festivities is the CCMA Industry Afterparty, taking place immediately following the 2023 CCMA Awards broadcast show to celebrate the winners, nominees, and exceptional work from all involved in the Canadian country music industry.
