From an early age singing, playing and creating were the vital ingredient needed to make sense of this beautiful, painful and lovely life. My soul’s capacity to receive and internalize the human experience had to be met with an outlet to keep from imploding altogether. Many and all mediums of human expression were used, music just seemed to be the most beautiful form that others could receive and gain understanding to the internal reality through which I experienced life. Staying up all hours of the night singing everything I heard on the radio that day, it didn’t take long before guests were listening with my parents behind the bedroom door, and I was on a flight to Nashville to record a gospel record at the age of 8. My sights were never set, it was just all there was to look at, or look to.
